Last week, the American Indian Student Cultural Center sent a letter to University President Eric Kaler expressing the group’s view on why allowing the Redskins to play on campus helps perpetuate cultural stereotypes and why this continues to be a problem.
We also support this letter and urge the administration to continue discussion about the name controversy.
With planned peaceful protests, educational programs and various student groups taking action, tolerance and understanding will hopefully triumph over racism and profits.
