Faculty Senate members are seeking funds to renovate the University of Minnesota’s Armory . The building does not have an elevator, making it inaccessible to people in wheelchairs.
Earlier this month, the University announced plans to renovate Pillsbury Hall , which is in worse shape than the Armory, according to the Facility Condition Index.
We hope the Faculty Senate will be able to raise enough money to update the Armory as well. Equal accessibility is a high priority, as no one who attends this school should be unable to enjoy its facilities.
