Proposed UMN gender expression policy still in progress

In response to concerns about free speech rights and potential disciplinary measures, University of Minnesota officials are reworking a proposed policy that would require University members to use the name, gender identity and pronouns specified by an individual.

New exhibit highlights female architects

Women in Architecture Student Organization, which is dedicated to promoting gender equity in the architecture world, organized an exhibit titled “Gendering Architecture, Architecting Gender" to be displayed from Sept. 4 to Feb. 3, 2019 in Rapson Hall.

West Bank celebrates first-ever Night Market

Local businesses and vendors were on showcase at West Bank’s first gathering of pop-up shops this weekend. The evening celebration, dubbed the “Night Market,” provided vendors the opportunity to connect with a wider audience. Vendors at the market ranged from neighborhood staples to artists.

Regents discuss St. Paul campus revamp

The University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents discussed long-term visions for the St. Paul campus, voted on the Presidential Search Advisory Committee membership and reviewed University President Eric Kaler’s system-wide priorities at its meeting on Friday.
