Dr. Date,

I’ve been assigned to do some group work with a guy that I’ve been eyeing all term. This would be a great opportunity if I weren’t so socially awkward. At this point, I’d be happy just coming across as intelligent and normal and making a new friend, as opposed to being wonderful, flirty and charming. Help, please? Also, would making cookies for the group be a good idea or too much?

Dr. Date,

So I have a FWB situation going on right now, and I want to keep it at that level. But lately this guy has started calling me “baby” when we do the horizontal tango or randomly in text messages. I don’t want to be his baby. In my mind we are just having fun. How do I put his head straight?

Dear Dr. Date,

So I’ve got this problem that’s of the “first impression” sort. I am vertically challenged and in a bad way. When guys say they are short, I feel like they usually mean anything less than 6 feet, ranging down from 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 5 inches. At 20 years old, I am certain I am done growing, and 5 feet 2 inches is as tall as I am ever getting.

Dr. Date,

So there’s this guy in my class. He’s handsome, he’s fun, he’s got a great personality, he’s kind, all sorts of great things about this guy. So what’s the problem? … Sigh.

Dr. Date,

I can’t get this guy off my mind, but this guy just so happens to be my professor. I know it is “cautioned” to not get involved with professors, but I am willing to take the risk.

Despite the fact that I am a woman, I can still bone, and I am boning hard.

Dear Dr. Date,

Every Friday I find myself doing the same thing: sitting in my apartment, hanging with my equally unfortunate-in-love roommate. I think of myself as not totally ugly, yet I am not approached as often as I would like. I am starting to feel extremely insecure about myself since I am 20 years old and have never had a boyfriend nor a first kiss.

Dear Dr. Date,

My girlfriend of three months seems to be in love with her ex who is 7 years older than her. While I knew they texted on occasion I never really said anything about it, as I had no details about the relationship. This weekend the doors were busted wide open when I saw the details in a sordid email she foolishly left open on her computer. The messed-up thing is that her ex lives far away in Canada, and she’s never actually met him in person — they had an online relationship.

Dr. Date,

I have been friends with this guy since freshman year, and we’re both juniors now. Actually, I have liked him since freshman year, but he has had a girlfriend, but they broke up a while back. I have been flirty with him, and he doesn’t seem to notice. I don’t know if he is not interested or just clueless, which makes me at a loss of what to do.
