Board of Regents

University’s head authority consists of 12 members elected by the Minnesota Legislature from each of the state’s eight congressional districts, along with four members representing the state at large. The board oversees executive, academic and financial policies – from the cost of tuition and financial aid, to student code of conduct. These policies provide the framework for University’s function and all other administrative policies.
