Michelle Bachmann

Despite a relatively short time on the national political scene, Bachmann is making a strong run for the Republican nomination for president. Before being first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2006 to serve the state’s sixth district, Bachmann served in the Minnesota House for six years. In 2010, Bachmann helped found the Tea Party Caucus, a result of the ever-growing Tea Party movement with libertarian and conservative views.
