Northrop

Built in 1928, Northrop became the main location for ceremonies and performances at the University of Minnesota. It’s located on the East Bank at the center of the Twin Cities campus. Currently, the building is under renovation, which will add study space and move three University programs into the building: the honors program, Innovation by Design, and the Institute for Advanced Study. The auditorium, which currently houses 4,800 seats, will be cut down to 2,800. Construction is expected to last until summer 2013.
