University Police

The University of Minnesota Police Department, currently headed by Chief Greg Hestness, patrols and responds to complaints on the University of Minnesota campus. They also occasionally assist Minneapolis police in the neighborhoods surrounding campus. University police are headquartered in the Transportation and Safety building on the University’s East Bank.
