CULTURE TO CONSUME

Listen to this: “I Need to Start a Garden” by Haley Heynderickx

Even though this album came out in the spring, Heynderickx’s haunting yet gritty songs set the perfect mood as we transition into November. The album is acoustic and Heynderickx’s airy voice is enchanting. Get yourself in a cozy mood and light some candles — this album will make you never want to leave your bed.

Drink this: Lots and lots of herbal tea

It’s getting to that point in the year when everyone in class is sniffling and getting sick. What better way to avoid that and also keep yourself warm than some herbal tea? Mint, lemon ginger or whatever your preference is, herbal tea will be your best friend as the cold slowly approaches.

Start this: “The Argument” by The New York Times

Many are familiar with the New York Times’ podcast “The Daily,” and their newest weekly addition is just as informative. Three of the newspaper’s opinion writers, each from different sides of the political spectrum, discuss the biggest stories of the week and argue about them.
