Winter break is over, but A&E has events to keep you entertained throughout the winter season. Get ready to bundle up and catch these events happening around the Twin Cities before they’re gone.
Friday: Skate the Star
Grab your friends and head over to the Mall of America’s ice skating rink for an all-ages skating experience set to the tune of your favorite pop hits. Dress up and boogie down to ‘70s hits on Jan. 29's Disco Night or get spunky for Glow Stick Night on Jan. 23 and 30. The MOA will be handing out “I skated the Star” buttons for each special event night. All skate rental profits go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.

Saturday: 2020 Lake Harriet Kite Festival
Head to Lake Harriet for a one-of-a-kind event featuring kites of all colors of the rainbow brightening up the winter sky. The one-day festival will also include ice fishing, snowshoeing and a marshmallow roast. Whether or not you’re a kite enthusiast, you won’t want to miss the beautiful site of kites flying over a frozen Lake Harriet this weekend.

Sunday: Saint Paul Winter Carnival
At the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, you can take a stroll around the ice sculpture garden, visit vendor booths or cozy up with a hot beverage from an ice bar. On Feb. 1, you can watch the sparkling Vulcan Victory Torchlight Parade followed by a fireworks show in Rice Park. Make a day out of St. Paul’s winter wonderland and while you’re at it, don’t forget to snag a photo inside the ice palace.
