Fairview CEO resigns after 15-month term

Fairview Health Services CEO Rulon Stacey announced Tuesday that he will leave his post after 15 months on the job, the Star Tribune reported.

The hospital’s board of directors said in an announcement that Stacey chose to leave for “a combination of professional differences and personal reasons,” according to the Star Tribune.

Fairview spokeswoman Cindy Fruitrail told the Pioneer Press that Stacey created a strategic plan for the company’s system, but the board disagreed with Stacey on how to implement the plan.

Board chairman David Murphy, former chairman Chuck Mooty, and University of Minnesota Medical School Dean Dr. Brooks Jackson will run the company whilst searching for a CEO replacement, MPR News reported.

Stacey will leave Fairview on March 1st, the Pioneer Press reported.
