NOTES

Minnesota opens up its final WCHA playoffs at home against the Bemidji State Beavers. The Gophers earned a share of the MacNaughton Cup when they swept the Beavers last weekend in Bemidji, Minn.

BSU gave the Gophers all they could handle in last Friday's 4-3 Minnesota victory at Sanford Center. The Gophers rebounded from the pedestrian effort with a convincing 5-1 win on Saturday. Playing at home, on Mariucci's Olympic-sized rink, should aid Minnesota even more this weekend.

Don Lucia said the team was healthy on Wednesday, which makes that fact that Sam Warning is out of the lineup interesting. It was rumored that Warning was injured earlier in the week.

This weekend will be the last WCHA games played at Mariucci.

Four Gophers picked up WCHA awards yesterday. Nate Schmidt was named to the All-WCHA First Team and Erik Haula was on the All-WCHA Second Team. Nick Bjugstad and Adam Wilcox were on the All-WCHA Third Team. 17 players on Minnesota's roster were on the WCHA All-Academic team.

Minnesota made it through the entire 2012-13 campaign without going on a losing streak, the team was 7-0-0 after a loss this season.
