Notes

Read my gamer from last night's 2-1 OT win here

Minnesota picked up its first overtime win of the season last night in its sixth contest. It was the first overtime win for the Gophers since they beat Colorado College in the 2008 WCHA Final Five semifinal.

Nobody in a Gophers sweater saw the inside of the penalty box last night. The last time Minnesota didn't take a penalty in a game was also against the Beavers last season.

Does it seem like Kyle Rau has picked up a lot of game-winning goals this year? That's because he has. The sophomore forward leads the nation with seven game winners this season. He has 15 goals and 23 assists this season.

Adam Wilcox has a great shot at becoming Minnesota's best statistical freshman goaltender ever. With a win tonight Wilcox would tie Kellen Briggs for the Gophers' rookie wins record. Wilcox has a 24-6-5 record this season and is tied for the national lead in wins, he leads the WCHA with a 1.81 GAA.
