English department committee formed to address diversity

The English department formed a committee this spring to work on issues of equity, diversity and inclusion. This is part of a three-year plan that is required of all College of Liberal Arts departments. According to department head Andrew Elfenbein, the committee includes tenured and tenure-track faculty, staff and graduate students.

Citywide event to open up buildings around UMN

More than 100 venues will participate in Doors Open Minneapolis on May 18 and 19. Participating businesses include several around the University of Minnesota and its nearby neighborhoods. Event sponsors announced the festivities late last month.
