Gophers set to chase another Big Ten title

Minnesota softball is looking to win its fourth consecutive Big Ten tournament title. Last season, the Gophers became the first Big Ten team to win three straight Big Ten championships since the Michigan Wolverines from 1996-98.

Ona Loper regains confidence after return from season-ending injury

Ona Loper's freshman year was more than anyone expected from the young gymnast. The Bluffton, South Carolina native was in the midst of a fantastic first few months, leading the team in floor exercise and vault scoring. She finished on the podium for both events four times each, including placing first in vault twice and on floor once.

Gophers end January with a sweep of Ohio State

No. 2 Minnesota (24-3-1, 14-3-1-0) swept No. 7 Ohio State (15-11-0, 9-9-0-0) in Columbus, Ohio, winning 7-2 on Friday and 7-1 on Saturday. The Gophers scored at least six goals in consecutive games for the first time since scoring at least six in four consecutive games between Nov. 18 and Nov. 30.

Gophers remain upbeat despite loss to Michigan

The Gophers came into Saturday hoping for revenge against the Wolverines, who finished one place better than them at last week's Windy City Invitational. Despite a season-high 408.300 score, the Gophers were unable to top Michigan, which scored 413.150.

With high expectations, Gophers baseball begins practice

The Gophers' baseball team, which went 44-15 overall and was one series away from the College World Series last season, started practice for the 2019 season on Friday. Minnesota won the Big Ten regular season and tournament championship last season. Four Gophers were selected in the 2018 MLB draft from that team, with the highest pick being then-junior Terrin Vavra, who was the 96th overall pick.
