Throughout the Gophers' season, Shane Wiskus hasn't been as involved in meets as usual, taking the extra time and rest to prepare for the Olympics. However, the ongoing pandemic has created uncertainty.
“She’s just very deserving and she’s so important for our team as a person, but also in gymnastics,” head coach Jenny Hansen said.
Despite the losses, the teams had standout individual performances.
"It feels good to know that we’re actually making an impact,” Bold said. “Like we’re kinda worth it. It makes us feel good, and makes you want to keep improving more.”
With the result, Minnesota also finished second in the Big Ten season standings.
