Gophers find success with no-huddle offense

While the Gophers were able to escape with a 23-20 overtime victory Saturday against Colorado State, their passing attack struggled. Minnesota was able to find success at times, though, mostly in their no-huddle offense, a tactic where the team gets to the line of scrimmage faster to run more plays and tire out the defense.


Gophers narrowly win first game

It took a last-minute 12-play, 80-yard touchdown drive and a fumble recovery in overtime to give the Gophers their first win of the season.   On the road against Colorado State University, Minnesota struggled at times to produce any offense whatsoever.

Gophers injured on offensive line

After a 23-17 loss against No. 3 Texas Christian University on Thursday, the Gophers football team will look to rebound against Colorado State with an offensive line battling its way through  injuries. Not only was Minnesota without projected starting left tackle Josh Campion due to a concussion, but backup Ben Lauer had to be taken out due to an injury of his own. Lauer has not returned to practice this week, head coach Jerry Kill said Tuesday.
