Interfraternity Council raise funds for UMN cancer research

About 300 participants gathered at Ridder Arena Saturday for the Interfraternity Council’s third annual hockey-broomball tournament to raise funds for University of Minnesota medical research. Previously, the IFC’s fundraisers were held in partnership with greek event planning company, Collegiate Charities, which claimed 30 percent of the proceeds. The money raised from Saturday’s tournament will fund research for pediatric cancer — the deadliest children’s disease in the United States — at the University’s Masonic Children’s Hospital.
