Non-Conference schedule leaves Gophers in strong position

The No. 19-ranked Gophers' softball team wants to be seen as a powerhouse. But not just one in the Big Ten, where the team has finished 84-11 over the past five seasons, but in all of college softball. So far in 2019, their record and schedule have accomplished that.

Gophers sweep the Terrapins in first Big Ten series of the year

The Gophers (22-9, 3-0) ended their spring break trip in Maryland (16-15, 0-3) taking on the Terrapins in their first Big Ten matchup of the season. Minnesota's start to conference play was a success, as it swept the three-game series, outscoring Maryland 30-13.

The Gophers have climbed the rankings steadily each week and have put together their best two performances in back-to-back weeks to vault them into the top-10 nationally and second among all Big Ten teams, trailing only No.7 Michigan.
